SUCCESSFACTOR: One of the most ravaging ailment in the continent of Africa is poverty. All kinds of programs and activities are on-going in Africa aimed at eradicating poverty. Most of these programs and projects focused on dealing with the results of poverty without necessarily addressing the roots of poverty. There are lot of empowerment going on in our continent but unfortunately not within the reach of those that really needs it. Individual capacity building cannot be overemphasize but the cost is damn too high for the poor. It is a common knowledge that change only occurs on the outside after changed had occurred within. The cost of internal change is however high. Most of the seminars and training designed to address poverty or low productivity come at a cost that those that can truly afford it are often not those targeted. The cost of an average personal development training range between $50 and &500 for a 2-3 days session. In Africa where the minimum income is below $100 per month; and the majority of belonging to this class, then poverty might remain a monster that keeps keeping the people under. Africans have been accused for not having a reading culture. This is true. We however need to look beyond the obvious if this will ever improve. An average mental, motivational, or human capacity building books cost average of $25-$50. Tell me how would the majority that earns $100 a month afford such resources. SuccessFactor is our attempt to reach the those we can in our little way by providing the platform to access relevant information that will help them attain peak performance at near zero cost. The emphasis is to give the required mental support to the grassroots with the aim of projecting the grassroots can move a step higher and improve individual life perspective for higher productivity. We approach this on the platform of organize free human development/capacity building. For over a year we have been running free training for the grassroots and helping to redefine poverty as intrinsic state of the mind, not just an extrinsic financial lack. Our vision is to raise awareness in Africa about focusing on internal changes that would lead to external changes. Africa needs to develop the grassroots by coming up with programs designed at mental capacity rather than physical building. We are develop environment friendly and community based training aimed at helping individuals based on his background, educational and social capability. |
