The Ministry

The passion for this ministry was born as a result of the burden God placed in the heart of the
visioner; Bimbola Ifarajimi, an ordained minister of the gospel from VineBranch Charismatic
Church, Ibadan Nigeria, when he first visited the nation of Kenya on a mission trip in company of
a friend in the year 2005.
During this mission trip, he noticed that Kenya was a nation where the people seem to love the
Lord but the knowledge of God was far from the land. Kenya was said to be about 80% Christian
population, but the impact of the church could only be felt in the religious worship and lip service
by almost every Kenya citizen.

The effect of the church could not be felt in the way people live. It was rightly observed then that
the nation was a haven of Christian activities with large inflow of foreign  and popular ministers of
the gospel. The unfortunate thing was the lack of proper discipleship among the Christian faithful.
It was observed during this first mission trip that there was a collapse of godly family structure
with accompanying high rate of divorce, single parenting, teen pregnancy, street children,
frequent rape, street children, and high level of idle living not just among the youths but also the
elderly. This of course has led to increase poverty where the majority of Kenyans(particularly in
Nairobi) dwell in slums.

These discoveries are at the crux of the passion that has developed into what is today known as
The Carpenters Christian Centre, the umbrella ministry that has given birth to this mission:
LENDAHAND MISSION OUTREACH. The Kenya mission project has helped us in no small
measure to help us have a grasp of the
21st century mission challenges and the need for
unconventional approach to urban ministry.
ABOUT US
VISION:

Our vision is to raise a community sensitive Body of Christ.

By this we mean training, equipping, and empowering the believers to take the love of Christ to
the world where they are and not just waiting for the world to come to the church.
Our mission

Obeying the 'go ye' commandment.

We believe that Jesus Christ commandment that the church should go into the world to preach
the gospel of Christ is literal and  must be obeyed if indeed the world must accept Christ. We
however understand this to mean that the church must locate and connect with the people based
on their specific and peculiar circumstances.

Following after the footstep of our Lord Jesus Christ, we seek to identify what constitute good
news to different individuals or groups in order to truly reflect Christs. This is quite evident in the
way our mission outreaches have been structured.
Our Team:

our team is made up of four different classes or levels consisting of:

Field Ministers/Missionaries in training
Mission's volunteers
Friends of the mission
Mission Partners

we believe that mission operation is extensive and everyone has his/her part, and one cannot perform
excellently without the others.

Field Ministers/Missionaries:
These are the sent believers who have taken upon themselves based on their personal conviction of god's call
into the ministry of transforming lives in the mission fields. They are involved in the day to day mission
operations and technically run the mission operations. This team is headed by the visioner/missionary- Bimbola
Ifarajimi. The team is a growing one and our prayer is that more would sincerely get more involved in the
missions' operation because the field is indeed white for harvest, but the labourers are so few.

Mission Volunteers;
these are believers who from time to time give of their time to accompany us on our outdoor outreaches but are
not part of the missions' team. These go on organized outreaches to assist us in delivering God's love and get
involved in the logistics and execution aspect of the practical mission

Friends of the Mission:
Due to the nature of our missions' activities, God is daily increasing our pool of friends who we call on from time
to time to visit some of the homes we visit and support. We often create a direct link between these friends and
some the homes and orphanages we support. These we believe would help to develop passion and raise guided
internal and direct supports for these homes, without the need of any intermediary. This also help to reinforce
the integrity of our cause and purpose.
We also have friends who visits us on the field just to provide moral support and encouragement for the field
ministers and missionaries.

Mission Partners:
These are those who God is using to make the mission possible. It goes without saying that every mission
operation is funded. Besides the funding of the mission operations, every missionary is expected to be funded in
line with the scriptures. We know there are cases where missionaries go through undue stress and pain just to
keep up with the assignment(like in the case of Apostle Paul  while in Thessalonian and Corinth). It however
goes without saying that besides legal system that forbids a foreign missionary to be engaged in running a
business operation in a foreign land; tent making can sometimes stand in the way of the mission operation.

We are thereby building our partners' base in order to be able to source and raise the required level of finance
that would not just help the mission work but also provide for the families of the ministers and missionaries, who
are directly involved in the day to day running of the mission.
Outreaches:

Prayer School: We run prayer schools where believers are taught and trained in the acts and arts of effective
prayer; not just religious prayer. If the disciples of Jesus Christ would ask to be taught to pray, we no doubt need
to learn to pray. Through this forum we raise a body of Intercessors for the land and Body of Christ......

Special Outreaches and Support (the deaf& disadvantaged Homes): we run services and discipleship training
